How do I add new pages to my template including the elements fro

I am trying to create a second page for my template and need to transfer some of the elements from the first page to the xecond page. But, when I go to the 'blank' canvas of the second page and use the drop down elements there are no elements to use. I tried to copy and paste from the first page but that did not work either. Pleae help!
